Description of problem
Previous rulers from fallen family become <character name> null_family in the deify rulers

What game version are you running?
2.0.1

What platform are you playing on?
Paradox Launcher

Please select any/all DLC you have enabled.
Hellenistic world flavor pack, Epirus flavor pack, Magna Graecia Content Pack, Epirus Content Pack

Do you have mods enabled?
Yes

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I play as tribal and become a monarchy. There are a couple of families that became obscure and erase from major families but some of them manage to become tribal rulers. When I check the deify rulers options, they are available to be deified but their family names become null_family. I've tried it without mods and it still happens.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
1. Play as tribal.
2. Make previous rulers' families become obscure.
3. Turn into a monarchy.
4. Deify previous tribal rulers.

Yes, that's a problem since with 1.3 the family system got changed and will likely happen, whenever the great family of a character you want to deify/deified already falls.
This thread contains my example and also a QA post:

The problem with the NULL_family thing in general though is that isn't a bug itself you can easily fix, but rather a signpost that the game struggles with its own rules (keeping names of minor families apparently)

EDIT: Here is a post of Trin Tragula explaining it even better:
