Description of problem
One of the choices for the "Blessed by Hermes" event affects omen duration

What platform are you playing on?
Steam

What game version are you running?
1.3.1

Please select any/all DLC you have enabled.
Hellenistic world flavor pack

Do you have mods enabled? No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The 2nd choice of the event "Blessed by hermes" has "+10% to omen duration" as effect. This was positive, as long as picking an omen involved a cost, which is no longer true since 1.2 - so now you get this as penalty instead. It also seems to be not only a cosmetical issue, as the religious screen still contains a value for duration. Suggestions: Replace the intended bonus by something else.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Sadly no save, as there is no way to predict when a random event will fire for sure :( I have taken pics however to illustrate the problem and I guess investigating the event script should allow fixing it.

Encountered a minor event (the belief of…[character's first name]), where one choice increases omen duration as well. However, here the effect seems to be only cosmetical - the 15% modifier is added to the 10% of the event I dscribed in the post before (as you can see on the related info box on the religious screen), however the tooltip indicating how long my current omen will last hasn't changed. So unless the tooltip is wrong, this case is different to the first post (I keep notes about when I choose omens and the last choice was in November 480 - the end in Mai 486 means 6 months longer, so exactly then 10%). I'm quite happy that this time I got away with purely cosmetic issue :)

Still it is odd that an event freshly added for 1.3 still refers to a concept which is gamplaywise abandoned since 1.2

Here is a save for the 2nd issue, the minor event - if you load it, you will find said event in the queue and if you pick the 2nd option, you will incur an prolonged omen (and contrary to my statement above, this time it isn't just the tooltip)

A longer omen still has some use. There's a morale omen, and when it expires your troops automatically drop down to the unboosted morale. If you immediately pick the morale omen again, you still have to wait for their morale to refill. So having the omen not run out during war is helpful.

Interesting aspect, thank you for mentioning it. However, it doesn't change the fact that overall a longer omen duration has turned from a general boost to a penalty in most cases (because it saves no costs anymore, while you are slower in responding to neded changes). Both negative aspects apply to your case as well, but with the difference that an additional positive factor (which was present prior to 1.2. as well) "survived" the removal of monarch points here. So even in case I'm running the morale omen, there might be cases where it plays out as a penalty (war is over, before a prolonged omen ends)
So the problem stays that anything in the game related to omen duration now has an inverted effect and I doubt this was intentional - a sign for this is that techs have already been changed and I expect it to happen to the events as well.

Thank you for the bug report.

The issue has already been added to our JIRA database and should hopefully be resolved soon (tm) (R).
