Imperium - never played longer than 10 min due to crash

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I play on a MacBook Air
I can run EUIV, Stellaris, HOI4, among other games - they run fine - perfectly fine; I have over 1600 hours of EUIV play but I feel betrayed by the poor performance of Imperium - it freezes within 10 min - sometimes within 10 seconds of launch. I cannot force quit it; rather I have to use the power button to power down and later restart. I do not claim to be a sophisticated computer user but for the love of God I have been a loyal paradox customer and this is not how I should be treated.
