Got called into a never ending civil war - 36 years already

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I am playing as Athens and Thrace called me in a civil war against Tracian Revolt. Unfortunately the war does not seem to end, due to the fact that the AI was not that clever and i was occupied to fight off the Romans (which worked two times!) though i am a bit tired of this war.
As you can see in the screenshot i cannot abbandon Thrace, it is greyed out.
Any idea? I play in IronMan Mode so console commands won´t help. Thank you!
