Description of problem
Generals replaced when save loaded

What platform are you playing on?
Steam

What game version are you running?
1.3.2 (Livy)

Please select any/all DLC you have enabled.
Hellenistic world flavor pack

Do you have mods enabled? No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When reloading a save game generals and admirals are reassigned. A different character is given control over armies and fleets. It’s not possible to remove the new leader for 12 months starting the day the save was loaded. The previous general is greyed out and cannot be assigned to any army for 12 months.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
1. Assign generals and admirals to your armies and fleets.
2. Save the game.
3. Exit the game.
4. Load the saved game.
5. See that different characters have supplanted your previously assigned generals and admirals.

Why is there no answer for a game-breaking bug that has existed for four months at least?

I too see this every time I load a save game, meaning that I can't even do ironman, I HAVE TO HAVE THE GAME OPEN AND RUNNING CONTINUOUSLY THROUGHOUT THE LIFE OF THE EMPIRE or suffer repeated trashing of my entire military leadership that will take a minimum of 20 game years to recover from. During which time you better hope you don't need to go to war, because your mighty generals now have a skill of 5. You see, the generals and admirals are not simply removed from command, THE CHARACTERS NO LONGER EXIST so there is nothing at all the player can do except hope that in 20 years the next crop of leaders are 100% great at military. Which they won't be.

So when is this going to be dealt with?

I personally have not had this bug in 200+ hours of play. do either of you have a save game? Those can be of help to the developers.

I have savegames for this issue. I know that when the savegame starts the bug is already in, but you'll notice some armies having the training stance which is not possible without commanders. Now, this has been a constant in this playthrough, so load this save, add generals back, continue playing, save and load, it will definitely happen. The best case I had was just losing one general assigment, but it always happens.

For reference, it was a tutorial save that I continued, maybe there's some relation? I started playing this past weekend, so it's using 1.4.1

EDIT: I'm pretty sure it's related to renaming armies.

I have also seen this, not sure if it is related to renaming, as I tried renaming an army and it did not happen. However it was a recurring problem with one of my legions and would result in dismissals on every reload. I found the problem could be circumvented by transferring all units to a new army, but was still unclear why this was a fix or why it occurs at all. A real pain, like the current marriage bug.
