Game freezes (sort of) and is unplayable

What platform are you playing on?
Steam

What game version are you running?
1.0.0

Please select any/all DLC you have enabled.
Hellenistic world flavor pack,
Epirus flavor pack

Do you have mods enabled? No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The entire game except for the cursor freezes after a few weeks in-game playtime. Strangely enough, when I click where the buttons, I still get sound effects, but nothing on the screen changes (e.g. when I click unpause I get the unpause effect but nothing happens).

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Just play for a bit.

Yes I was.

I had pretty much the same thing on ironman (my bug report), but a normal game ran fine. Worth a try.

Still happens to me in normal mode. The game's basically unplayable in this state :/
