End of Month Game Freeze/Crash

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
My I:R save game is crashing whenever the month changes - in this instance, November 30 to December 1 (alternatively, on 597.12.1).
I've tried the suggestion from the Known Issues thread (~, Th, 4) with no success. Loading a save from 1-2 in-game years prior still has the crash occur on the same date. I've even used Notepad to change the save game's date past 597.12.1, but the issue then occurs during the month change from December to January.
I'd hate to lose a save game I've dedicated so much time to and hope there may be a known solution.
