Description of problem
Dynamic Country Names replaced by "- - -"

What platform are you playing on?
Steam

What game version are you running?
1.0.1

Please select any/all DLC you have enabled.

Epirus flavor pack

Do you have mods enabled? Yes

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Many nations, i assume non dynamic nations, have no name, and instead are all named "- - -". Additionally, it seems multiple breakaway countries from Phrygia and the Seleucids have the same flags.

The Mod should have nothing to do with it, its a graphical "No Fog" mod. It's also not possible to load the savegame without the mod.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Localisation Bug - I don't know how to "reproduce" this, maybe it has to do with reloading a save game.

Same here, and more and more of them on the map as game advance. Is that bug solved in 1.0.2, please ? (I'm still on 1.0.0 until I finish my current game)

I agree, it's a very annoying bug that is quite breaking immersion.

Can we have some feedback on this bug status, please anyone from PDX ?

If that can help, I noticed that factions with that name often have also the same flags (but not always), despise being clearly different factions.

Could it be a problem with the way the names of new emerging factions (rebels, barbarian settling, etc...) are dynamically generated ?

Hello!

We will require some more in-depth steps to properly reproduce the issue on our end.

As I said in the report, I don't know how to reproduce this, but I have seen it on multiple occasions from several other players, but I assume it's an issue with reloading a save game.

I'll try to observe a game where either Seleucids or Phrygia explode and get back to you.

A lot of people seems to have this issue, I believe it's related to name generation of new tribe factions, especially barbarian or migrating ones. What can we do to help you locate the source of the problem ?

As seen in the screenshot, it's not only tribe names, seems to be any dynamic country, I first noticed it with the breakup states of Phrygia and the Seleucids, then looked around and saw more. It's also not only tribal nations which get this, lots of them were civil war nations from monarchies too.

It happened after reloading a save game, so maybe try reloading save games a lot:D Maybe pressing resume on the launcher does it, or continue on the title screen...

I made a survey of the situation in my game, in case that can help.

I only played 69 years so far and I have already 37 different nations named " - - -" on the world map, all having the same flag (a yellow diamond on a red background), and that number apparently just keep on increasing.

32 of them are Migrating Tribes (of varied barbarian ethnies and all sizes) and 5 of them are Autocratic Monarchies.

It's interesting to note that none of them is a Republic or Settled Tribe, maybe that can help you locate the source of the problem.

All the 5 Monarchies are located in Asia, in the limits of Alexander's former Empire.

The 32 Migrating Tribes are all over the place but mostly in Central Europe, Spain, Tibet and Southern India. One of them only is situated in North Africa, bordering the Sahara desert.

I also noted that many of those factions had their territory cut in half by another faction (those ones with normal names), which makes me think that their apparition might have been caused by some form of tribal scission.

If you have any question that could help, just ask. I'll try to watch if I can catch more precisely a new "---" faction just when it appears on the map to understand better what might have caused this annoying bug that many players encoutered.

NB : I use the Mod "Real Mediterranean" that remove the fog of war (I hate that fog, seriously), it's probable that even more people have this bug too but didn't noticed it because those nations were hidden by the fog... Sorry if I have lift the carpet and found the dirt under it !
