Description of problem
Able to Annex Province During War Outside Diplomatic Range

What game version are you running?
2.02

What platform are you playing on?
Steam

Please select any/all DLC you have enabled.
Hellenistic world flavor pack, Epirus flavor pack, Magna Graecia Content Pack, Epirus Content Pack

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I was warring with Kush and found I was able to annex Askum in a peace treaty. I figured if I could annex it, there was no hurry so I'd best file a claim and then annex with 50% AE reduction. Strangely enough, I can't file a claim b/c it's outside diplo range.

By my best reckoning this was not the procedure before the Marius update and I should not have been presented with the option to annex it in the peace treaty.

Image 1: Shows province in green. Readily annexable directly to Rome.
Image 2: Shows Kush (and province from image 1) as outside diplomatic range.

Steps to reproduce the issue.

There's no bug here (At least i don't think so).
Diplomatic range is not what determines your ability to annex land, control range is.
Diplomatic range is distance between your capitals (mostly. If you have a land border with a country they will always be in your diplomatic range no matter how far the capitals are.). Control range is the distance that you can take land in a peace deal and also takes into account other territory taken in the peace deal etc and is calculated bit differently.
On the screenshot as Rome, your diplomatic range is calculated as a distance between the city of Rome(which i assume is your Capital) and whatever the Kush capital is. Your ability to take land is calculated based off of your already owned land in Egypt/Blemmia.

Thank you! I hadn't had occasion to deal with the mysterious Control Range v. Diplomatic Range for some time and I had by and large forgotten about the different protocols. I just checked the Wiki under the term "control" & was redirected to Warfare where I found references to Control Range but no actual definition. I wonder if citing your statement would make for a suitable starting entry under the heading "Control Range?"
