Playing the De Savoie family. To put it briefly, I managed to get, through marriages, all the Canossa's lands in central and northern Italy. That plus some conquests of my own allowed me to create the kingdom of Italy after a victorious war of indipendence vs the emperor. My son and heir is the duke of Verona and Carinthia, so when he's going to inherit my kingdom only Lombardy will be indipendent (though not for long!).
But there are some problems...
A) I'm trying to raise Crown Authority but they won't pass the reform
I have decent relationships with everyone, no one will revolt, but what can I do? I have already done the tournament, the feast, sent gifts to everyone and I have handed over all my duchy titles and honourary titles. What else can I do to convince them?
B) Since I can't raise crown authority I can't change my succession law either. I'm stuck with gavelkind, and I absolutely HATE IT. Normally I would just grant bishoprics to second sons. This time I can't since the second in line is at my son's court... The only way to go would be to assassinate him, but I like to RP my characters, and he wouldn't really do it.
C) My son and his son have both german as culture  That means that at least for two rulers I will have horrid relations with all the vassals... gosh, I hate that. And I won't be able to pass any kind of reform or law with those two guys, that's for sure.
Suggestions? What should I do?
