I need provinces.csv from AGCEEP 1.37.0

Does anyone have the provinces.csv file from AGCEEP 1.37.0? I have a Mac and can only get AGCEEP 1.37.1 to run if I use the provinces.csv file from AGCEEP 1.37.0 (in AGCEEP 1.37.1 new variables have been introduced for ToT-Por, ToT-Spa, and HRE, and the Mac chockes on that...). I did have the file but forgot I needed it and lost it when I upgraded to Mac OS X 10.4...

In the long run could this be fixed in the download so that there is a usable Mac version to download?

You can manually delete those fields if they're the only problem.

Open the file in any MS Excel Mac equivalent (Open Office fits) software, select the column you dislike, select "delete column".

Which are these? Why would they cause problems?

BTW 1.37.1 did work fine on my Mac last time I used it with provinces.csv from 1.37.0

Still no joy, I can get as far as selecting a scenerio, but EU2 crashes before the scenerio loads

However when I exported the file again as a .csv file it replaced the semi-colons with commas (I couldn't see any option to select the text delimter in Excel), so I tried to sort this out by opening the new .csv file in word, then replaced the semi-colons with commas and saved out as a text file (but with the extension .csv). Then I replaced the existing AGCEEP with the converted provinces.csv. Am I doing anything wrong?

I know AGCEEP 1.37.1 will work with provinces.csv from 1.37.0 on my Mac, as this is what I've done before, so if anyone has this could they let me know as its really frustrating not to be able to run AGCEEP :-(

No, you shouldn't ever try to manually change delimiters as the containing data can contain delimiters as well.

The best solution is to find an option to change the delimiter.
I am always asked for preferred delimiter (not talking about text delimiters and other variables).

Excel for OS X gives no such option. It also seems to have trouble when not all the fields are occupied (as they are on the last few lines of the file). To fix this, I wrote the following one liner:

perl -e 'open(FEH, "province.csv"); while (<FEH>) { @a = split /\;/; splice @a, 14,3; $_ = join(";", @a); chomp; print "$_\n"; }' > province-new.csv

Executing that on the command-line in the directory containing province.csv will create a province-new.csv file which should work.

This worked for me anyway.

I have a similar problem. I have made changes to text.csv, and now the last number is not consecutive anymore. There are numbers missing and lines without a number. An additional problem is that the first field is in some cases a huge text.

Do you know any way to fix those numbers in OS X?
