I downloaded HSR 1.04 (the one they say works with 1.06c, which is what I have for HOI) but I can't run the HSR version, or at least I dont know how to. I have ran the install for HSR 1.04 and it seemed to install fine, but there is no icon or executeable program to run. Can anyone help out the newb here?

You can visit the Stony forum for help (on my signature). What happened to you is a very common mistake which is a wrong installation path. When you install HSR you have to direct the installation to be done in your HOI folder where ever you have it, otherwise will be installed elsewhere and HOI will not be able to reconginze the mod.
 
Same prblem with SRP

The problem for me is the same, except i did install the SRP into my HOI directory. But the game just does not start... so help anyone...?
