It's great and all untill 2350 after that the stutter makes it unplayable, and the AI is dumber than ever.

I like the direction this game is heading to. Economy overhaul has given this game a lot more replay value, and I think if other areas such as diplomacy, battle strategy, and politics were to be improved like the economy has then I'm thinking Stellaris can make it to the CK2 level. Hope the devs work their ass off cuz I'm willing to pay more money on this game.
Fully agree. I’m finally enjoying the game as much as I hoped I would enjoy it When it first came out. Me and Stellaris, we never really clicked but finally we do!

I tried to make a post about this sharing how it's finally really doing what it was meant too for me.
But no one replied. So i'm gonna reply to this one because stellaris is really at the best it's ever been for me.
Also so far I'm getting close to 2400 on my current huge galaxy game in the beta build and not having issues.

It's pretty great. There's some things that still need fixing but the changes to the core gameplay make it so much more fun. Even superficially similar empires can feel very different now.
Only thing that really bugs me with Stellaris is L-Gates, but that's a Distant Stars 'feature'. There really needs to be a toggle for those; I can fix it by disabling the DLC (but miss out on the great anomalies) or installing a mod (breaking Ironman), but I'd rather just have the ability to alter it like I can gateways and wormholes.

It took me much less time than I expected to understand it.

This has been my favorite update yet. I hope all of the major bugs get addressed, and I think the devs are making good progress on that, but I have been enjoying the game since the day 2.2 was released.
Glad to hear this. I'm still waiting for a consensus that bugs are patched and gameplay is balanced for the new features before I buy, but I'm looking forward to starting a new game when that happens. It looks like the game is going in exactly the direction I hoped. More depth! More detail!

I agree. It’s a good update, and once the handicaps the AI is limited by are fixed, It’s going to be a lot of fun to play.
Same here. For now, let Paradox enjoy their well-deserved break from the yearly grind. I'm sure most glaring issues will be patched once the holidays are over.
Took me a while to understand the economic system, but now I see how deep and interesting the update is. Plus, I love the megacorp system of building into other's territory.
My hope now, apart from performance and AI fixes, is an overhaul of internal politics : i would love to see civil wars and forced regime change.
Plus of course diplomacy.

The core concepts, I love them. I like the new economy, I like the way things work, I like the idea of branch offices and so on.
But I do not love the actual patch. It's been a mess and I have had to activate a big list of mods just to make the thing worth playing. And I haven't even had LiterallyUnplayable lag issues.
I've only played leguin so far but I think it's great. There are a bunch of bugs, places where the UI could be improved and ai issues to deal with. But it's still great.
