Check this out. I was fooling around with Georgia Anyway the OE was at war with Trebizond, and I didnt really want them annexed. Joining the war would probably get me squished in short order. So I managed to get military access from my neighbor, and I just marched my army in. Now since I had access, and the OE was at war, I was given priority for the supplies in the province. So the OE has having horrible attrition, and eventually gave up. I didn't have to fight a single battle

Yeah it's a good strategy to kill of those huge AI armies.

I did this a couple of times as China when one of my vassals was in trouble but I didn't want to fight another war - I sent in hordes of infantry and watched the harsh jungle terrain kill off the attackers.
