I'm playing along as the United States, and I happen to notice that there are still some armies in Louisiana when France sells it to me. I hover the cursor over one of them, and look at who it is:

Yes, Napoleon is in Yazoo with one thousand men.

Not as bad as finding Charles XII sunbathing in Luanda while Sweden is at war (and losing) to Russia! I am surprised though, the leaders are supposed to pop-up in the largest available armies right? So either 1,000 men was the largest France had at athe time (very unlikely) ir they are so awash with leaders, Nappy got stuck in Louisana (also unlikely).

I'm not sure if this happens in the regular version of the game (never made it that far with France in the "Vanilla" version), but using AGCEEP you get quite a few leaders along with Napoleon. Something like 6 or 7 different leaders. So it is possible that the second scenario that you mentioned may have happened.

He can walk through american terretory(sp?). And then be picked up by a ship at the coast. Not that the AI will ever figure that out

whenever i play Napoleons ambition, Napoleon always apears in Loisianna. If i want him in Europe i have to disband all my Colonial armies! very frustrating!

Well, all the other French armies that were in Louisiana immediately walked towards the ocean to get to their ships. I didn't notice what happened to Napoleon, because I had to position some of my own armies, and a moment later he had gone.

It happened to me as well. I shipped him back to France... and he got lost, never arrived to France. There was no event however... he just simply got lost somewhere in the Atlantic. He might have fallen into the ocean with all his troops. The ships arrived to Brest completely empty.

Play Dago's Napoleon scenario instead; it avoids those annoying things.
