I mean, I like Quill and Arumba, but i would like to see what people who played HOI3 more to give their impressions. All I have heard is comparisons to EU4 and don´t get me wrong, I like EU4 but I´d like to see how the game is holding up to be when compared to HOI3.

I know there are probably maybe other HOI3 and 2 veterans. I learned HOI3 by watching Marcos videos and its not like he is a bad player or anything. The Carnage group has a youtube channel, but I guess they would be interested in the MP part.

I'm with you.. I even take this as an offense only having people review and give impressions of a game they never played and compare to not very comparable games.. gets my eyes rolling and they never mention what I'm looking to know plus I must take everything with a grain of salt.

I'm not saying it's bad to have newcomers give feedback of the game and I think it's essential for HoI 4 but it's not really what the HoI fanbase is looking for.

At least these guys are transparent and say they have not played previous titles.

But in result they can lose old hoi fans and not attract new ones. Yes hoi fans will get hoi4 in any case, but if they will not like new concept and game they will leave this game. It is hard to attract costumes, but easy to lose them.
In result eu players won't like hoi4 because it's not as same as eu or ck, but hoi players because it's not as same as old hoi games. And even such small thing like nation counters without 3d models can be immersion breaking.

I could make the same argument for the EU series but I would say the changes vastly improved the game. If that means that some people who played older versions didn't like it and so didn't buy the game I would say it was more then made up by new people who started playing.

Marco Antonio is great HoI III LPer and IMO the best strategist in HoI ! I would really want to see him posting his impressions on HoI IV, what else can you expecting of man who played HoI III with Luxembourg and kick some asses, eh ! ! !

im pretty sure that marco-antonio could hands down thrash any one else with a youtube channel at hoi3. his skill with hoi3 alone is justification enough for giving him a review copy, who better to review a game than the best player of its predecessor?

if im honest my decision on weather to buy hoi4 will be largely based on what i will see of it on his channel.

so far all of the reviews ive seen have compared it to EU4 and CK2 both games i own but don't find myself ever really playing, it would be much more usefull for me if someone who intimately knows everything about hoi3 could compare the 2 and break down the differences.

I think paradox should really let Marco play HOI 4, I think that nobody on youtube plays better HOI 3 than him, the challenges he did is basically impossible for most players such as winning as Germany in 1944 scenario, Luxembourg WC, etc.

And his skills is really good, so good that I don't really want to play the game anymore since I will never be that good.

I'm just a amateur player on Paradox games, Marco always explains why he do certain things and that really helped me out. I would really want Marco to explain the difference of mechanics between HOI 3 and HOI 4

Marco is a truly amazing in his HOI3 skills. Having watched almost every one of his HOI3 series i'd say there's no one else more suited to take a look and review the new Hearts of Iron. He's pushed the boundaries so far and is honestly a big part of why HOI3 is my favorite Paradox game.

Marco's channel is the only GS channel I watch on youtube. He's insightful, skilled, and would probably give a better opinion on the game than anyone else I can think of.

Marco is the only youtuber who has the time and effort to provide a game mechanics analysis. Although it is not as interesting as other youtubers who shares jokes and their lives to subscribers, Marco's channel provides the best information as answer sheets of the game.

I would love to see him doing preview. But probably Paradox does not want old HoI fans to give bad press until the launch of the game. Because Paradox wants to engage the interest of new players or has some previewer of the last event said "normal people" and if the game got bad press from the fans it would be much harder to do that. As a longtime lurker, I have come here just to support this. I would love to see the opinion of Marco on HOI4. I understand that they want the game to be more accessible, but it shouldn't lose some of the things that made HOI3 a great game.

I think they will likely wait until beta before letting people who really know HoI get a look at HOI IV and be able to publicly comment on it. They would just likely see the flaws in the game. Even those who had played for a few hours still had no idea of what they are doing. I also think a big element was to see how easy they would understand the basics of the game.

I too would like to hear what people who really know HoI would say about HOI IV, even more I would like to try HOI IV.

Oh please, you're just massaging your own ego. HOI3 is undoubtedly a complex, hard to understand game. If paradox can maintain the complexity of game systems, while making it easier to understand for players would would traditionally bounce off HOI3 due to it's difficulty and presentation issues then sure that can only be a Good Thing.

What do you actually want from HOI4 that HOI3 and Black Ice and other such mods don't already offer you, what would HOI4 look like to you?
