I kind of want to Know How much more DLC there will be for EUIV

Actually I want only a thing, discounts. Why Paradox games are with so discontinue discounts? Is difficult to find CoP, that is the first DLC with 75% on steam.
Is not becouse I don't want to spent, but are so many, and I can't follow so many expansion so often. Also becouse paradox DLC are not the only things with you can use money.

It works when you buy it, but that doesnt mean in will work on steam. especialy when it comes to gifts crossing regions. This site says that el dorado doesn't work if you buy it in different region than yours steam IP.


If you can confirm otherwise I'll be very happy to buy it via VPN/proxy. Otherwise I'm afraid.

I'm 99.9% sure that I didn't need to use a VPN when I activated El Dorado, and yes, I bought it off of Nuuvem.

I will buy every expansion and unit pack, but we should have some sort of forum where we can parlay back and forth about what the community wants (and if such things are possible to be added with whys and why nots) so that things keep floating in the most desirable direction.

Do you foresee EU4 ending up with a massive amount of provinces sometime down the line? Or pushing the date to 1836 to give time for a late Revolution? Or more demographical features (population, trade good production amount, % of cultures/religion in a province/nation)?

What about in-game polls? That way everyone who plays EU4 can vote in-game on what they'd want the next focus to be?


And maybe some sort of incentive for players who register on the forum. Like an extra skin pack for them if they create an account here and register the CD-Key or something. I think the official Total War forums did something like that for Napoleon Total War. A Prussian Hussar cavalry skin was awarded I believe.

This business is not like GRRM and GoT where he announces how many volumes there will be as it's all plotted out in advance. It is far more circumstantial.

Well, GRRM originally announced trilogy so I do not know how really you can plan on GRRMs announcements. Additionally about decade ago he kept announcing something like : next volume almost finished and will be published within half year for about three years or more. That about GRRM's buisness.
Additionally you can find in net original plot submitted to the publisher in 1990-ties and (beyond names of main protagonists) it bears very little semblance to later published work.

AoW will be the third-last DLC to have been released, so it'll probably be on sale. El Dorado I doubt will be though.

I imagine that the expansions will just keep coming until the engine begins to limit things. I have no problem with this, I feel like the EU4 development is already capable of being at least two full releases, I think too many people mistake the expansions for a strategy that developers under EA tend to use, holding back features to sell to people later. I hope paradox keeps up the good work.

Far from "most". I think they've only done this with a few specific features so far.

I am content about dlcs because if they stop developing dlcs game will be dead after some small fix patch and developers focus on eu5.
But if they can do us a favor and for new dlc releases if they can provide some discount for loyal customers (for example:25% discount for having all dlcs or 15% discount for having previos dlc) It would be great and doesn't feel like they milking their customers.

I bought EUIII Chronicles which helped get me on the Paradox bandwagon. I can't really get people to play it here because you are looking at over $100 for the full game and some of the DLCs have been erm not great.

At work for example we talk about what do you play (including Xbox etc) and I mention EUIV and people ask questions about it. There is what 5 or 6 DLCs with more to come? Adds up for newer players and an impulse buy won;t wait for a 50-75% off sale.

The other problem is all muy save games get broken and the next patch seems to be almost a new game with very drastic changes.

So, basically, you will make DLCs till we would eat them, and expansion would appear only if ppl won't buy dlcs or devepores will decide that "this is the time"?
