No-one at Paradox even knows how many more there will be for CK2, and that's been out for longer.

So don't buy all DLCs, after all most of them are cosmetic. Just buy the base game and whatever major DLCs you can afford, IMO.

I'm a college student and I really like Eu IV but I cant afford to pay 99.00 bucks to buy all of the DLC. You know?
Get a job, you bum!

But in all seriousness I'm also a student with very little paid work, and EU4 is pretty affordable. I mean, consider how much of your time it's eating up. If that $99 buys you 500-600 hours of playtime (or more), then how many expensive AAA games are you no longer inclined to buy to fill up the void in your life? Also Steam sales are a thing, like s1234567890m said.

There are sites like Nuuvem that sell them for less, if you really want the DLC for less. AoW costs about $12, CoP about $8, El Dorado $9, WoN $6-7. That's a total of about $35-36 (although it doesn't include Res Publica, nor Common Sense as it hasn't been released of course). Here's the link: http://www.nuuvem.com.br/produtos/search/europa universalis iv. One Brazilian real is 0.33 dollars.

If you want to have the 'ultimate' version of EU4, wait until EU5 comes out. After that, Paradox won't release any more EU4 DLCs, and you'll probably be able to get EU4 plus all DLCs as a relatively cheap bundle on Steam (whenever the next Paradox Steam sale happens).

One of the reasons why Paradox doesn't like doing official complete editions and season passes. They don't like saying that they're 100% done with a game. Or pre determining how much content they need to pump out.

And that's what makes Paradox games so good now; there's always room for improvement as long as there's an interest in it. In comparison, think what TW: Medieval 2 would be like if Sega had continued to focus on it instead of just determining they were going to release Kingdoms and a patch before moving onto Empire (and consequentially, what Stainless Steel would be like), or, for a more recent and plausible comparison; what Civilization V could be like if Firaxis gave it a third expansion pack instead of going on to Beyond Earth.

If a season pass was a real season pass (i.e. All DLC made in a calendar year), I could see it working. IIRC they usually plan their DLC out in waves, so you;d just need to match the "seasons" up with the waves.

Then by all means spend your money on PI games as cost ineffectively as humanly possible to maximize their profits.

Then by all means spend your money on PI games as cost ineffectively as humanly possible to maximize their profits.

As a yuppy, you're damn right I do this! I've bought all the music packs, yet I just listen to Google Music. Once I change jobs, I'll probably be back to ramen purchases of PI titles.
