Idk how historically accurate it is. I can't think of any examples of a gay marriage (emphasis on "marriage") among royals being sanctioned by the nobility, the church, or any other relevant power. Gay marriage didn't exist untill 20th century. Historically the main principle of getting married was to have children and start a family. The idea of getting married purely out of love is more of a modern idea. Back than marriage was more of a "survival strategy" than something romantic. Of course there were exceptions.

In some cultures it was more common to have gay lovers (but not marriage), like in ancient Greece and Rome although that was mocked by philosophers too. Ofcourse there are some strange exceptions like Nero putting his lover into woman's clothes and marrying him as a woman. Not sure if that counts as a gay marriage or trans.

All things considered there was never an era as lgbt friendly as now.

It was sarcasm because I'm so jaded after years of scuffed priorities and lack of playtesting that I can rarely find the heart to continue engaging with or pointing out game shenanigans via the forum unless I maintain some level of irony/cynicism. Obviously it's a bug. Just gonna go look up Frederick II being gay, though, because that's something epic I'd never heard before

Ludovico, or Anglicanised as Louis and Anne were a historic marriage between Anne of Cyprus and Louis of Savoy. Not sure why Anne was accidentally male in this circumstance
