well, if you call what happened to Piers Gaveston 'sanctioned'...being sanctioned by the nobility,
The OP is a joke... And there is a bug/typo. Clearly Anne here is supposed to be a female consort.Idk how historically accurate it is. I can't think of any examples of a gay marriage (emphasis on "marriage") among royals being sanctioned by the nobility, the church, or any other relevant power. Obviously, gay people existed and gay relationships likely occurred (perhaps the most famous example being that of Frederick II "The Great" of Prussia). Maybe someone can enlighten me?
Gay marriage didn't exist untill 20th century. Historically the main principle of getting married was to have children and start a family. The idea of getting married purely out of love is more of a modern idea. Back than marriage was more of a "survival strategy" than something romantic. Of course there were exceptions.Idk how historically accurate it is. It was sarcasm because I'm so jaded after years of scuffed priorities and lack of playtesting that I can rarely find the heart to continue engaging with or pointing out game shenanigans via the forum unless I maintain some level of irony/cynicism. Obviously it's a bug. Just gonna go look up Frederick II being gay, though, because that's something epic I'd never heard beforeIdk how historically accurate it is. It gave them a gender male symbol, though. Oh, and I could recruit them as a consort general.I doubt its that event, since its a male spouse- except probably not, actually, their name is "Anne." It appears to have just failed to change the title localization of Prince-Consort.
