I just lost economic hegemony because i ended the alliance with someone

Why is that? My money per month is still well above 1000. Why didn't the tooltip tell of this? The reason i ended the alliance is because they keep dragging me into wars that they lose all the time because the AI is stupid and can never do a naval landing. Now i got a debuff till 1799 till i can do the hegemony again so i won't be able to get the achievement before ironman end date.

Are you sure you didn't lose the hegemony because your former ally lost the war?

A country can lose its hegemon status by losing great power status (5 years after falling below 8th place in the great power list) or by losing a war. Even a war in which the hegemon is not the war leader or giving any concessions to a secondary participant counts for that.

You lose it bcs your ally lost a war that u were in, simple. As a hegemon u can’t let your allies lose wars.
