I just had a strong reaction about a screenshot I saw.

What the hell is that ugly tiled repetitive texture ???

Please tell me this thing won't happen for real ingame ?? Are we back in the nineties or what ?

Its hard to tell whats alpha pre alpha final or whatever with alot of this stuff you find on the net.

I'm never sure if the graphics have had a downgrade or if the pics I'm looking at were older than the ones before.

Waiting for the terrain mods. That seems to be the first on any modder's list (and it also seems to be a big pet peeve in the modding community). However, the base textures since the OP's post have improved dramatically.

You really can't avoid repeats on a texture unless the actual image is larger than the item it is to cover, or it stretches to only go over it once. What would be nice in a terrain brush, but which I have never seen, is to be able to rotate it a few degrees by a key stroke.

The textures do not bother me that much! Yes is a bit uggly, but man, is a 1,5GB game, I do not expect CO to bring enormous HD textures to the game now, and we have the modding, probably they'll be able to mod textures easily.
