Logically: but then what.. ruthenian?

ok, so we have ruthenian.. but when mongols come, those surviving get their primary culture changed??? How screwupped wouldnt that be?
Just imagine something similar if mongols take parts of other countries too.. like some of hungary etc.. do those get a different stateculture too?

..and what about the provinces live atm, do those change now, or slower.. or are they transformed into eternal aliens?

trust me, this way is much better for continued stability ;)

(ps my ancestors come partially from kharkov, russian empire too. ;) so if yours went by boat, stopping at algiers our ancesrors might have known eachother ;) )

I can think of numerous better possibilities.

What about Rus'ian? Slavonic? Eastern Slav? Kievan?

The problem with Russian is (of course) is that it buys into the Muscovite line that that Empire founded in Moscow is the true heir to the Kievan Rus, and that cultures such as Ukrainian are merely variants of the master Russian race. Which I fund insulting.

Hence the need for a more neutral term. :)

paradox wont allow AAR's but i will host it if MORK makes one

Why no AAR's on the forum? Mork has bought the game legally so I can't see the problem!

Maybe the reason behind this was explained in another thread...could somebody provide a link if that's the case. :)

Just because the AAR forum isn't available for posting in by the public yet.

do u really think that stopping AARs is worth it??
i cant believe what i'm hearing

btw, i very rarely read manuals, and still i get the knack of all games. you cant expect to stop pirates by not providing manuals. people have brains and can figure things for themselves, even pirates, LOL.

These games are very complex, and a player without a manual who has not played the previous paradox games will not really know what to do. He'll either get bored or frustrated while trying to play the game like other 'strategy' games. And if many people do so it will get bad press in the pirate community and not be downloaded widely.

And it doesn't matter if I think it helps, its what Paradox has done in the past and I really can't blame them.

Heh, but it's not about how many people download it, it's about how many people download it who would have bought it.

And the people who would have bought it probably can figure it out without the manual, considering the manual has been utterly useless in all previous Paradox games so far.

Anyway, I can see why theres a "no posting the manual rule" but it seems like the no AAR rule screws the people who don't have it more than it screws the pirates. Because the pirates can play the game they don't need to look at AARs, its those of us who don't have the game that need to read AARs to keep us from going insane.

lol, i thought the opposite, that you did not agree..
well anyway it IS overrated. if someone wants to play the game, he'll stick with it a few weeks and finally he'll know how to play. that's enough, no funky manuals, no shiny armory or caps signed by Charlemagne

Well, I love manuals, don't ask why (natural born avid reader)...And from Mork's screenies, I deduce one needs the manual to figure out all the traits and stuff (colors, how to get them, etc.)
