I just got a PU with Portugal as France...

So I got a PU with Portugal as France, which I had to fight Castile over(I don't understand how I'm getting so luck). I won, but I kinda wanted to become Revolutionary France. Which I'm not even 100% sure on how to do. How will this affect my PU, and Is it worth it to go Revolutionary France? Should I just keep the Monarchy?

Also What about my vassals? What happens if I become Revolutionary France?

If they have positive opinion you'll keep the PU.

It wont change much. The only thing that I can think of is that since the junior partner in a PU has the legitimacy of the senior partner and since a revolutionary republic does not have legitimacy, but republican tradition, Portugal will be stuck at 0 legitimacy increasing unrest in it's provinces.

Should be good again once you switch to revolutionary empire though.
