The fun part is when you get the event that one of your vassals discovered that another character (Your kid) is actually a bastard! It's funnier if you're a woman who receives this event because it basically means that a vassal is trying to blackmail one of your kids with love letters from you and your lover, and he gives the evidence to you.

Awesome. I just mentioned in another thread about my champion cuckold who had 17 children that weren't his own by age 25, and four wives named "the Unfaithful." (Muslim rulers... 4 times the seduction, 4 times the bastards...etc.) I've just learned to roll with it. Invite some genius courtiers, seduce them... then marry a MILF with awesome rulership stats. Then legitimize the genius kids... Who cares if they aren't yours, they'll probably rule better than you do anyway!

About the lesbian wives... Anybody had the thelma and louise event pop up? I noticed it in the event files but haven't seen it in game (gotta marry two lesbians at the same time, apparently).

Chaste persons are not pervious to seduction, just a tad more difficult and so much more enjoyable.

I used the charinfo command, just to check it, as I hadn't come across it before. But the dna result is mumbojumbo. How do I make it make sense?

If you use the charainfo and hover over a secret bastard, it should show you the value: Real Father = (ID of real father)

There's one huge benefit to being a female ruler in CK2 for all their liabilities. You KNOW which of your own kids are actually legitimate and which ones aren't.

And my rulers almost always marry matrilineally.

And even better as a female ruler..you can also choose which rulers you want to seduce and *ruin* his dynasty ala Katherine Swynford. Or for the matter, Catherine of Valois.

And my rulers almost always marry matrilineally.

My thread... just when I think it's gone for good it keeps popping back up. I'm glad you all enjoyed the story. If anybody's wondering how that game turned out, I quit around 1150. Robert's first son died before taking the throne so a child ended up inheriting (Robert's secret bastard son's son) and everything went to shit. Jerusalem was lost to an unstoppable jihad with like 100,000 troops from the entire Sunni world rampaging through Jerusalem, France and the HRE gang banged me and took Normandy, I lost Northumbria to some Swedish adventurer... and overall I just didn't feel in to it after I knew my dynasty wasn't really de Normandie but that bastard Duke of Cornwall who rebelled against me after being given lands and honorary titles.

On a personal note, I am quite happy to not have bought WoL yet. Seduction seems to be breaking a lot of immersion.
