as the title states i jsut cant seem to get into CK2 i own most of the DLC at least the essential stuff but even then i find myself getting bored incredibly fast ive only put in like 100 hours of play time i would like to play more but theres just something missing from the game like actual stuff you can do with your charecter and other charecters like actual interaction because currently the only thing you can really do is marry people for claims then go to war which is fine but once you get to the point where you snowball and wars jsut become you crushing ants even with the coalition/threat you can just beat the world no one can stop you or killing them because x reason.

I usually lose interest once my realm gets big enough too, but I definitely still enjoy the ride after hundreds of hours. Giving yourself odd goals, or going for bizarre culture/religion/government combinations to produce unique play styles.

For example, one time I started as Haesteinn of Nantes and, by seriously abusing the game, used him to found a Greek Buddhist kingdom of Sindh. Right now I'm working on building up the Liao khaganate until I'm able to invade the Byzantines and carve out basically a Khitan Ottoman empire.

I can only imagine maintaining interest in this game for long stretches of time if you're able to becoming invested in the lives of your characters.

Not only can you not declare war on people that you want to without an absurd amount of tedious BS of the same faith (unrealistic. monarchs attacked each other on a semi-regular basis over trivial if any reason back then regardless of faith). But they also made it impossible to assassinate people on a whim regardless if you have a large sum of money. Sorry, but merchant republics and the Saracens were constantly knocking people off. If you have enough money, you should be able to wipe out a clan. Plotting to assassinate a titleless courtier in a small fief is absurd. Add to it they make the game more moronically tedious/difficult to succeed in with each expansion, rather than different, and you have a game, I barely have any interest in continuing to play. Conclave in particular is cancer. Avoid it.

This is a dynastic simulation game. If you want to go to war without justification and whimsically assassinate people, there is a game exactly like that for you. in fact it's mentioned all the time on these boards

If you're trying to say you can't get into the game because you find it too easy, may I suggest mods (HIP, CK2+, and AGOT all change core mechanics), roleplaying to your character traits, or otherwise going with the classic hard starts such as the Zunists and Zoroastrians or Asturias and Abyssinia?

Nonsense. There is numerous examples of Christian monarchs warring on each other without pretext all the time, and didn't say monther may I? to the Pope or anyone else. I've had a 20 year long war I won via the small Barony of Lubeck vs the HRE in this game. That you have to jump through numerous hoops to even go after a one province barony just because they are also the same faith is ridiculous. There should be capacity to go after anyone, but with the consequences, much like EU4. "Realism" doesn't exist in that aspect. You can have a Intirgue 20 spymaster and you and your wife could be likewise it'll take years and years to net a claim on a simple barony. Beyond absurd.

EDIT: It's not about being easy, it's about being ahistorically tedious.
