I have Robotic Workers and Droids researched.

I conquered a vassal and integrated them. I checked their home planet and they've quite suddenly got 15 unemployment. What happened?

I checked further. It looks like the planet had a bunch of robotic workers on it. When I integrated the planet, the robotic workers became droids, and they moved from "worker" jobs to "specialist" jobs. Now the planet is full of empty worker jobs and unemployed specialists!

Is there a way to fix this?

Try reducing the "priority" of the Specialist Job to free up some jobs, and the incrementing it's priority again. Robots should demote instantly to worker, and the specialists should take it's places.

That worked reasonably well (I was able to get a mix of 50/50 droids and organics in the jobs) until I unpaused the game, and then the robots moved up and took the specialist jobs again. :-/
