If PDS somehow can simulate disasters despite the odds, such as Cannae and especially the extraordinary Carrhae, as well as the usual inevitable victories against the odds, I'll be well satisfied... Adrianople would be great too if it goes as late as the Ostrogoths.
I want more random battles. I know this will fet a lot of flak but I hate how I can know the outcome of battles in paradox titles beforehand. There should be a large random factor that can potentially allow an inferior force to destroy a much superior one.

There are going to be tatics and such that influence the battle beyond unit types.

However the "barbarians" and other roman opponents was actually quite disciplined and well trained as well. There is a reason why Rome recruited half their Soldiers from other Cultures and that is because they was superior to the roman legionary in some way.

Baleric slingers and Cretan Archers for example trained since childhood just to become excellent mercenaries for the romans and others.
