This is one of my biggest complaints throughout the Paradox games. It's completely unrealistic for characters to have instant teleportation and armies to trapse through terrain without break or only minor attrition. I sincerely hope the travelling and distance aspect of real world ancient warfare is taken into consideration for IR.

EU: Rome handled attrition really rather brutally - it was very much a thing and one had to be careful to time campaigns to keep them short in hostile territory or/and rotate armies. If this has even a fraction of that, no one will be saying "there isn't enough attrition"!

Also EU: Rome your troops gain experience which are quickly lost with attrition.

Hopefully there will be a supply system as well and no magical attritionless hordes like in CK2.

The problem with attrition in Paradox game is that AI sucks at it compared to players who will ALWAYS be better at maneuvering troops and thus abusing the system.

"So make system easier for AI/make AI better" easier said than done.

edit: neverthless it should be implemented somehow of course, I dislike deathstacks and armies marching around from Europe to Ethiopia too
