EU3 is definitely not a 3-d High End Game. Rise of Nations, Empire Earth II, including several other RTS's were all higher end games released a couple years or so ago. Even Ages of Empires III... All which work on crappy on Video Cards and all of which I can honestly say I'm not all that impressed with.
Empire Earth II was Dreadful graphics, even with a good card your eyes fuzz out, as the way they generate the graphics makes it impossible to follow. Rise of Nations and all the addons I was displeased with they worked but they weren't that good with gameplay. Empire Earth I was superior to RON. Ages of Empires III was made for the consumer, made by Microsoft but the game is sort of boring. The whole concept is a waste... I was expecting Ages of Empires I, II and then wow 3, nope. Didn't work out that way. The Graphics no matter how good or bad do not save the dreadful game.
I really honestly didn't think EU3 was going to be highend on the graphics, it turns out to be less Visually stunning than Ages of Empires II a game that is 8 years old! It requires a video card 20Xs more powerful!
Sorry to say but this was not a wise move for Paradox however we'll live and adapt, let's just hope that we hear that the Paradox team gets the game operational and bug free. From what I hear from MultiPlayer Users it's not ready yet to come out of beta. So you shouldn't really waste your money and go out and buy it, you should wait 6 months or a year until it's been tested and there's several Patches out. Much like EU2 that needed much refining this game will require it.. Some EU2 players and HOI lovers will not likely convert to Eu3. Despite graphics, despite Hardware neccessities
