Hi guys!

A release date in august (the 4th if one is to believe the rumors) is amazing. I have been waiting for this game since its announcement. With each passing dev diary all my hopes for this game are closer and closer to being fullfilled. I am convinced that this game will be the nr 1 application in my machines RAM for years to come.

I have allways loved game manuals for strategy/war games, and i truely enjoy reading the entire thing before even installing the game itself. The HOI2 manual was a really good read and i am sure the HOI3 manual will be just as good, if not even better.

Now to my actual dream. My holliday for this year is planned to begin the 1st of august (all is well so far). The problem is that the second of august i will be i croatia (i live in sweden) with my lovely family enjoying a sunny 4 week vacation. This is of cource great BUT i am a night person and with a 2 year old son and a pregnant girlfriend my nightly activities will not exactly be fast paced. I could/will of course bring a couple of WW2 history books with me for good measure, but in my dream i am reading the HOI3 manual from cover to cover several time preparing for the game that will be waiting for me at the game store when i get back home. This would of course mean that the manual would have to be available for download pre release date.

What do guys think the chances are of my dream coming true?

I think it would be reasonable on Gamersgate, as you can download manuals from there already.

That is good news indeed. But do you really think the HOI3 manual will be available before the releasedate? I for one am crossing my fingers as this would save my slow nights in croatia.

question, do you have to buy the game from Gamersgate to download the manual? That will be a bummer for me as i intend to buy the physical product. My experience with electronic copies is weak at best. I have been to dissapointed with delievery methods such as steam, just recenlty Empire total war (bought in a game store) . I am not dissapointed with the products as such, but rather being forced to activate it electronicly before being able to play it (if it where an active choice to get automatic updates/patches and such, then fine i would probably do it). When i buy a game in the store and is forced to do this i feel less and less as a valuble customer. I have therefor decided NOT to support these delivery methods by buying from them, or rather from publishers insisting on disrespecting their paying customers.

Understand that i allready know that PI will not force the customer to electronicly activate the game to play it, so this is by no means critisism against them.

Johan released the In Nomine manual before they released the game.

It was like only a few weeks though, but I remember because I printed it out to read the changes over.

I think it would be nice to have something to read while waiting for the game, but it might also be just a teaser. Teasing me all the way until the final release.
