I guess EU4 is more niche than I thought...

Eurospa Universalis 4 is probably the most addictive game I've ever played... in a good way. I mean just by playing it you're subconciously learning about geography, history and politics, even if you never intended to do so. The thing about EU IV is that you actually have to know it's mechanics pretty well to be good at it and that takes time to learn them properly. And it can be very rewarding to do sh*t right. Not to mention the fact that these mechanics are constantly drastically changing, this is also probably the most developed game since launch ever. I remember when Madagascar was 3 colonizable provinces, now it's a whole region of something like 20 provinces combined. You can say what you want about the DLC marketing strategies of Paradox, but I srsly can't think of another single gaming title that would evolve so much over the course of it's existence. Hence why many people spend to so many hours on it
