I got published!

If anyone here reads 'Bards and Sages Quarterly,' the first story "Twilight of the Gods," was written by yours truly. Granted, its not Isaac Asimov, but hey! I got paid for it!

I tried to see the story, but I guess you have to either pay or sign up (and I did so - not sure if they'll send a current issue in PDF format or if I'll have to wait until next time).

I might try to submit something myself. Submissions of 2,000 words, max? Is that what you did? That's a little tight to develop a story, but I could try it. Often the shorter the story is the better, indeed.

I'll hope I get to see it!

drivethroughrpg has it as a pdf and apparantly my story is the sample you can read it there for free.

2,000 words is tight (mine came in at around 1,200 I think), but it can be done. You really have to edit the crap out of it to be sure.


Also, thanks everyone for the kind words, I really appreciate it. Like I said, I credit AARLand for the positive feedback over the years, the examples of so many great writers in here and, especially the Guess the Auther thread. It was winning Stuckenschmidt over in GtA (over a series of three entries - he rightly crapped on my first piece and by the third he said 'I'd pay money for that') that got me thinking I could get paid for this. I'll let you know if I ever sell another story though!
