Also, and maybe this is just a Demo issue, but the "Let It Go" option doesn't appear to be working right either. It looks like in the files that it's supposed to give you gold and prestige for not pressing the claim. Instead, it still costs you... just not as much... and you get the claim anyway. But someone must have noticed this already...

Yes, the bug where the option effects basically where the same was a bug that unfortunate got into the demo but it has already been fixed. The option to let the claim go should award you, not cost anything. And thanks for bringint the "press" issue to our attention. This has now been reworded to avoid confusion.

Well that helps. I still think we need either a time delay, so I can be notified of a potential claim and have time to switch to a war footing, before I "accept" it and pay for it, or an overhaul where manufactured claims are inherited even if not pressed but which will expire if not pressed. Paying massive amounts for a claim and then losing it when you die before you can press it is just sucky. I suppose an alternative would be to "repay" the leige for any unpressed claims just before he dies. although you'd have to keep track of what was paid.

What?
This is getting more and more ridiculous...
Now you even want back the cost of your actions if the outcome is not to your benefit?

You pay for bribes etc. to get a claim!
If you do not press it, or are not able to because of death (which happens to people sometimes) HOW do you imagine this payback would work?
Please give me a conversation between the lords...
Sorry i don't know if you really still don't get the point or why you keep complaining about something "logic"...

Let me reflect this to your marriages/wives.
Do you want to now before you marry them if and when they will give you a child?
Should there be a tooltip if the first born child will be a son?
And if then your wife tragically died before a son was born, you want back X years of your lifespan?

What if you built up a barony and an enemy conquers it, should you get a payback of your investment?

I don't get it why you are so stubbornly in this cost of the claim...
With your argumentation you should even get back the money you "waste" on mercs if they get slaughtered before they could win the siege for you...

Sorry for beeing kind of rude sometimes, but please help me to understand your point!
I can't see any logic in this except you want...well teddybaer-game.
Why don't you just save/reload if something happens you do not expect?

Why you blame PI for bad game design if you just want to cheat or exploit?
Cheat over the console or ruin your game experience in any way you like, but please don't blame other for your own mistakes!

although some people are actually truly rude, if not more, i still agree with them.

maybe its not clear from the ingame process: but fabricating claims is always supposed to be a risk. get one while you have 50 gold and a merc army who then rebels against you and you will curse that damned chancellor of yours. (well in the release version you can chose to let it go, so that doesnt need to happen)

get a claim in the first year and your broke.
or what happens to you.

those are all risks that are _meant_ to be there.

you basically want the gamedevelopers to change their minds about those risks being there, for your convenience, which i might add also is at least a bit rude...

i understand what you want, and those wouldnt be bad suggestions, if the fact of the matter wouldnt be that it is supposed to _be_ like this.

i thought "fabricate" is enough indication of "something hinky and mighty illegal... and therefore potentially "bad""

Well, when you create a claim you have to imagine that you forge a lot of false documents and bribe the local nobles to accept your claim so it should cost you some money. Of course it sucks if your ruler dies just after you have created a claim, but that shouldn't make you create threads where you demand that it is changed (though the thing about the wording was okay). It should simply tell you that next time you create a claim you should be ready to force it through. Playing as the Byzantine duke I was taken prisoner and after complaining to my captor I was thrown into a dark hole and died shortly afterwards. I could of course have demanded that Paradox change the game so players can't be taken prisoners, but I learned a lesson from it.
