The assault armies still do not increase in range when you discover new warp engine tech. We saw this happening in the Blorg play but it is still not fixed. I suffered a lot from other-arm invasions where I could not retaliate.
Workaround: Demand a single planet in the other arm and terrorize them long enough untill you get it. Then build your assault armies there.

Sometimes it is impossible to bombard your own planet that has been captured, making it extremely hard to recapture it.
No solution found. Leave the solar system alone and sometimes their armies take off by themselves allowing you to move in.

When you declare war on your enemy, and you listed a planet in your demands that gets captured by someone else before you can get it, then your enemy will never agree to the rest of your demands even if your warscore reaches 100%
No solution found. I had to agree to white peace in the end.
