The only thing this DLC adds is non-playable Aztecs invading the west side of the map sometime after the 1250s.
then conquer the americasWhat if I only want potatoes but no Aztecs?
Potatoes? No one told me there would be potatoes. But are they playable?
No, they're Pagan republic theocracies!![]()
Hmmm, plus the character portraits are indistinguishable.
Like I say, I have no desire to have the Aztecs appearing in my playthroughs, is there any point in me buying this DLC?
That is so well said it almost hurts.Serious is fun in simulation and strategy gaming.
A valid analogy would be:
Imagine you go to the cinema, suppose you go to see "The Last Emperor", "Ghandi", "Shindler's List", or any other "historically set" movies, they don't have to be absolutely accurate, you just get in the mood of the historical period... then suddenly there's a Cameo of "Eddie Murphy" doing some nonesense... it ruins the whole movie.
I won't buy the DLC, so I don't get Eddie Murphy into my movie, but I would really like to have some good DLC before they put Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller ¬¬
Keep the good work!

Did your hometown celebrate the turn of the millennium by burning all the cinemas to the ground?
I'm debating on buying this myself. I don't need everything to be serious but I'd rather a deepening and expanding of what the game already has to offer. I don't see what this DLC brings to the table that isn't already available.
It's far more like if you went to the cinema, Ghandi was showing... however, before the showing they were selling cuddly R2D2's to adverise the new Star Wars... You can buy it and it will be a bit of harmless fun, or you could decide that you would rather spend money on popcorn so you don't.
Either way it doesn't matter as it only affects your viewing experience if you want it... If not you have lost absolutely nothing...

b) I'd have to remember scroll through all the DLCs to tick off the box almost every single time I wanted to play the game and
No, they're Pagan republic theocracies!![]()
