I am a kind of noob reading these codes. Could someone summarize the conditions leading to a civil war and secondly which conditions to fulfill to end it? thx

Basically, you need to NOT have Civil war or Total war ongoing in your country, need more than 2 cities(Full provinces, not colonies), not at war, badboy needs to be at least 1/3 of total, your monarch needs admin less than 7, aristocracy must have at least 3 and stability needs to be under 0. If you have good prestige and a high star statesman advisor it will take longer to get the event, if you have lower stability than -1,have badboy thats higher than 45/100 of the limit and have your national revolt risk over 0.09 than it will go faster.

Edit: Apparently, I have no eyes!

I read it already on the wiki, but thanks anyway. One must really be playing like an idiot and/or be extremely unlucky for getting the civil war event.

I think it's awesome :p
Just look at that mega Liege!

That's looks so fantastic. I have never seen France completely gone except through my own actions before.

Suddenly, all this talk of weird things happening with the BBB just gave me an idea: if France conquered territories outside it's normal boundaries, then, say Burgundy fulfilled all the normal requirements to form France, would it be possible for there to be two Frances in existence simultaneously?

Somehow I don't see that happening, unless a human player or two engineers it.

BTW, I know that doing the culture shift to create Germany is usually done by switching to Saxon; however, are there really that many more Saxon provinces than, say Bavarian? In my game Saxony only had 1 province, and most of the provinces around it I looked at had different cultures (then I diplo-annexed Saxony, if you're interested; they never increased beyond 1 province). Bavaria, on the other hand, had like 4 provinces, which I only can assume had Bavarian culture.

Brandenburg is Saxon? I always figured it'd be, well, Brandenburgish, or Prussian.

Meissen... didn't even know such a state existed. The place has been held by Brandenburg or Bohemia or Poland for as long as I actually started paying attention to northern Germany (and I must say, as Spain that occurred early).
