It was really unbelievable; I noticed Great Britain and Toulouse were at war with France, then I went to war with them (taking along Austria and Poland, and a bunch of OPM vassals), then the Netherlands decided to come in as well (they're always hungry for more territory, anyway).
The British had almost lost the fight on land when I came in, and the Spanish and Dutch armies swept through the French forces like a knife through hot butter (lucky for me I had stationed several large armies on the border for deterrance earlier!).
It was surprisingly quick; within a few years all of France was occupied, then the Netherlands peaced out for some gold, and GB did the same to release Armagnac (probably a misspell; oddly enough the country was Orthodox). I eventually got Lyonaises (another misspell; I had a core there already), then got France to release Normandy and Orleans. Their stab was at -3 (from sowing discontent multiple times throughout the game), so I funded 3 good Burgundian nationalist armies, that brought Burgundy back as an Administrative Republic. As Orleans and Normandy cut off Poiters and Anjou, the Burgundians cut of Triers and Koblenz (pity Burgundy is a republic; I'd have like to have inherited them or something, possibly diplo-annexed them).
France also toppled to rebels, becoming a Protestant Adminstrative Republic as well (France had the problem of being mostly Protestant before, with a Catholic monarchy anyhow). However, they soon switched back. I've gotten Hainault, something that starts with a V, and Antwerpen now, from the war and from diplo-annexation of Hainault; this'll be good for either war with France or the Netherlands later.
France went from a big blob (that was really too big, so I had to combine with the annoying colonial rival GB), to a striped mess, to a patchwork quilt (still the largest, but it's split up into pieces, and also landlocked; as Burgundy is my ally and Orleans is too, and also my vassal, they'll have to deal with me if they want to blob again).
I'll put up screenshots later; it's a very satisfying look, at all the major European powers (Spain, Great Britain, Austria, Poland, Brandenburg, the noticeable exception of Sweden), all uniting against the common enemy.
