As Germany i ceded my territory from south africa which was really good as i got more manpower, recources, and like 2 industries. but my problem is that i cant transport my troops that far. When war starts i know the british and south africans will take it, i was wondering if there is anyway i can get my troops all the way there.

my plan is to have at least 6 well armed divisions who dont use a lot of oil stationed there. when war breaks out i will attack and annex south africa. then and hopefully by now i would have defeated france. i will then attack strait of giblartar with my paratroopers (whom i've invested in since 1936) thus blocking british supplies. then i move some of my submarines (u-boats) to south africa and intercept british transports and convoys while also blocking them in the atlantic...

if that goes well i will start to move upwards and hope to meet the italians and rommel in north africa.

if i cant move troops there then there is no plan...

P.S, i think there should be a feature were countries would allow you to use their naval ports, like a military access but for ships. i could then have portugal or nationalist spain permission...

This "problem" is like this also in Vanilla, this is not a IC issue. What people does is to use the "rebase" order to transport troops to distant ports. Hope this helps

Hello;

I don't understand what are you asking for. Ships have always in HoI2 games distance limits. And you can ask Spain or Portugal for military access.
This diplomatic option is not very realistic: imagine the U-Boat using the irish ports, or the surface ships of the Kriegsmarine doing technical scales in spanish or portuguese ports.

i understand, in fact its not even a problem. but it would be cool if it was a new feature but i dont know how much work would have to be done for it to work...

i tried the rebase i just get the out of range message...

so is it hard to insert this kind of feature (naval port access) into IC?

I understand the distance limit. I dont want military access, i just want to use their naval port in peacetime. in other words only transports can stop at the port in peacetime...

in war time the agreement will automatically be cancelled... its only for transports...
