I have some issues with the game that are perplexing me.

  • Firstly, and the most pressing issue is that in my current city build, the game is refusing to build on zoned tiles, despite being 100% demand for housing and 50% for Commercial. This is applicable to bother Low and High Density buildings, In some of the areas the land value is at its highest, in others it's brand new zoning in a brand new tile that I just purchased. In one example, in one 15x9 block I have a Police station, hospital, fire station, Yoga Garden, Sauna, and Gymnasium surrounding the zoned area yet no houses will build. In another example I just purchased a new tile, made a new grid and zoned it, yet nothing is happening, nothing is building. This problem has me trapped in one milestone, unable to reach the next.

  • How many bus stations can I have? I have one but when I built a second one I was unable to build any routes from it?

  • Why am I permanently on fire? I presume this is to do with the Natural Disasters DLC but I'm not exaggerating when I say I am constantly on fire. My Fire service helicopters are almost permanently up putting out fires because by the time they land there's another fire to take care of? I don't mind that this is happening but I do find it curious.

  • Could somebody please explain to me what the Cargo train station, the passenger train station, and the intercity bus station do on a practical level I know what it says on the tin but how does that translate into gameplay? For example, I have both but see no increase in population. I have a cargo terminal but don't see any improvement to my economy. I presume whatever practical benefits these convey also applies to Airports and Cruise ships?

that's weird. Are you using any mods?

you mean forest fires? yeah that's mostly because of the DLC, but check if you have enough fire watch towers to cover the whole city so helicopters can act before the fire spreads out more

they decrease traffic - less trucks importing/exporting cargo and less cars bringing tourists and new residents

Yes, none of which have ever had this effect before. It's not obscure ones either, we're talking Move It, TMPE etc., certainly nothing that should affect demand or growth. Other than that, just assets. I'm also losing buildings to lack of educated pops despite having almost 80% educated pops, not that I understand why the game thinks your local supermarket requires a post-graduate degree to work there, while I have an entire forestry industry begging for population that won't grow because there's no homes for them. It isn't just homes affected, it's commercial and office as well.

As for fires, no, not forest fires, fires in the City. Every time I plant a tree or upgrade a road with them it almost immediately goes up in flames, and this is with 100% coverage from towers. I have them overlapping.

even some well-known mods might be outdated, like 81 tiles (there's a new updated one), Prop Anarchy (same thing), etc. Check the list below to see if everything is ok with yours


As for fires, no, not forest fires, fires in the City. Every time I plant a tree or upgrade a road with them it almost immediately goes up in flames, and this is with 100% coverage from towers. I have them overlapping.
I think city fires are better handled by fire stations than helicopters

Nope, I don't use outdated mods. All mods were post-Plaza's DLC when I started the city. Also, does this game have a known memory leak? Since the last DLC extended play times result in extreme lag, requiring a restart of the game.

Please try disabling the mod anyways just as a test to see if it is the issue other players have reported.
