I can't enjoy the game without the mod: obfusCKate - Hidden Information

I would want them to at least obfuscate some things, but maybe not everything to the extent of the mod. They could start with diplomatic range.

You are asking the tryhard forum community here, while the usual casual ck3 customer wants automated warfare and meme reddit-worthy incest events chains with his genius, amazonian sister

Actually, not having heritable traits show up on children's trait panels until they grow up would be a great idea. I mean who would look at an infant and go "hmm, yes very beautiful"? It also makes it a little bit more fun and less power-gamey.

Yeah if not for the kinda janky implementation where you constantly have to send out emissaries, a system where only people you know or should know of have some of their traits and competencies revealed would fix so many of the core problems with ck3 especially around the value of giving power to family and friends over competent strangers.

I made a suggestion about something similar a while ago. The player in this game is pretty much a clairvoyant, considering the amount of knowledge they posses about everything and everyone at any given time.

I have suggested this a long time ago. Having played Football Managers and it's predecessors it feels off knowing everything in the world as it happens

Without any information being obfuscated both diplomacy and intrigue are highly underutilised

Grandparents. :p

FTR, strangers sometimes stop parents on the street to oooh and ahhhh over their babies and small children, exclaiming “what a beautiful child! You must be very proud.”

To be fair, this is partly because people get upset if you tell them their baby looks like Winston Churchill.

The interestingly this is already done for some genetic traits in vanilla CK3 (lunatic, melancholic, and possessed). So they could do the same thing for other genetic traits where they hide the trait on birth and set up a delayed event to have it revealed later

Edit: Clarity

How would AI handle this? Is the engine able to hide information from the AI or will the AI just cheat as usual and knows everything and it would be a player-only restriction?

I am certainly in favor of turning some of these things into game rules. Although integrating some ideas of the Fog Of War mod into a fully fledged DLC would also be great.
