Hi guys!

Ok, so, a bit of a critique about this achievement... How on earth are you supposed to get it? I am sure there are some people out there who already have it, but for normal, breathing human mortals, this is almost a mission impossible (at least it is for me).

Where do you get 50 (!!!!!!) enemies from? The radius of the vortex is rather small, so you first need 50 enemies, and then have them all kindly run in.

I'd be much in favor of reducing this... 25 enemies is hard enough, even in challenge mode where dozens of enemies run down on you, but 50 is...

If anyone has found THE TRICK on how to get this achievement easily, I'd much appreciate if you could share your experiences.

Cheers.

Challenge mode. If one wave isn't enough, feed the vortex by blowing some of the items that are probably strewn around into it, to help it survive until the next wave shows up.

Coaxing enemy into it is easy enough, just run in circles around your vortex, the enemy will figure out where you want them to be soon enough ;)

What Luckmann said, or just do what I did. On that bridge in Act 4 where there are an endless number of enemies passing under you? Well if something walks into the Vortex it instadies, even if they're under the bridge. (I summoned it in the middle of the bridge, grabbed a soda and did something else for about five minutes.)

You'd THINK this would qualify me for the Multikill achievement too, but it didn't. (dunno why)

Also, you can feed Vortex with rocks, mines, earth shields, the master sword's bolts, and ice shards. (but not the M60's bullets)

I got my achievement in what I'm pretty sure is a a bug. The boss of Act 4 is affected by the vortex "pull" but doesn't actually take any damage from it. When he gets sucked in he keeps trying to run out, and gets sucked back in again creating an infinite-life vortex which does nothing but hold him there.... and keep counting the number of times he gets sucked in. I finally had to put him out of his misery with a beam-attack.

I got it in act 4 too, but I used the fight right before the boss, where you can wait for the overly long fuse to reach the explosives at the door. I'm pretty sure I got more than 50 enemies in there, as the achievement only unlocked after the vortex collapsed.

I did this pretty easy, will what i did was going into the chapter with the burning city. When you come to the bridge where alot of enemies is walking under. tele down and put up a vortex. Instant achievement! :)

Wait you get Vortex before Chapter 5? :(

This is why I wish they would let you replay chapters and checkpoints.

You do not, but if you complete the game - it goes into "prestige" mode, or ... something like that. You can keep play on same save and the difficulity will be harder and you will start out with same spells as you had on the save! :) In that way you can keep your spells such as vortex on chapter 5 for that achievement!

The difficulty will be harder? I've found nothing to suggest this.

I wish the game saved each chapter separately so that you could always go back to a previous chapter in any given playthrough, resetting on every playthrough. It's extremely frustrating to drop, for example, Gram, in the end of a chapter - just to have the chapter end as the boss suddenly dies and you leave Gram behind.

In fact, no chapter should end unexpectedly or without player input.

Like people have been saying, chapter 4 seems to be the easiest. The boss won't die from the hole, but the two warlocks keep spawning from the door. Just sit tight for a while before killing the boss and you'll get the achievement (after the hole disappears). The bridge doesn't work (well, it didn't when I tried it).

And the difficulty goes up by adding extra mobs. They added a troll in an earlier fight with the robin hood goblins and the long bridge before you get phoenix they also added a troll. There seems to be a larger amount of goblins in general too. Although not all areas have more mobs.

I suspect we want pretty much the same thing (Although what I asked for is a bit more elaborate.)

In fact, no chapter should end unexpectedly or without player input.
I agree.
