The game has started crashing constantly for me. At random points throughout a mission or during a loading screen. Its so frustrating because you put so much time into completing a mission or setting something up. Its just really disappointing that this is the state of the game. Please patch.

Strange. I have only had one crash throughout. Could be down to PC hardware... For example if you don`t have much ram.
I've had (rare) crashes on startup that was due to an access violation... not too sure what to make of that. In all cases, simply restarting the computer cleared the error.
I've had two crashes during the game.
You may also want to delete old save games, as this is known to degrade performance. It may contribute to crashes, though this is not really verified. It's quite insidious if so, because one likely reaction to crashes is to increase the number of saves so that you lose less... which further degrades performance. This is also being looked into.

No crashes but last night it got really jerky during one mission but I'm attributing that to my pc
Saw on another post that I can’t find right now, but if you have a lot of game saves it can cause this problem.
Had similar issues myself. Game performance was terrible, crashes during loading. I deleted all of my saves but the one I needed and poof, issue resolved

getting same experience - been playing just fine for a week, last 2 days got very bad. The day before yesterday I saw a message about clearing out old saves to help stability, so I went through and did just that - things got way worse in one day.
Yesterday I pretty much wasted whole evening of play time because the mission I completed froze on getting back to argo screen after all the reports and apparently it didn't save progress when that happened - I was looking at Argo with no UI.
Not only did it break than, it somehow corrupted the game so that next time I started it, it froze on loading screen with the skull for 10 minutes.
Third time, the game actually loaded and freaked me out by telling me there was no campaign to Load - the button was greyed out and Continue did nothing.
Finally on the FOURTH time I restarted the game, it managed to see my save files and I discovered that the mission I spent an hour on didn't actually save.
GOG version with cloud saving disabled - their patch can't get here soon enough

My game gets a bit choppy when I have too many saves, but in terms of out and out crashing, I haven't had any.
