I am playing Denmark and have been experimenting with taking 8 provinces from novgorod so I can intergrate sweden before it rebels. The problem is that 5 times out of 6, the russians rebel, which inherently isnt a problem. The problem is the they are 16 stacks with generals, while my forcelimit is only 14. I literally cant put the rebellion down since vassals no longer help with your rebels (at least they never have for me). I thought that the rebels stack were based on your forcelimit to keep it semi fair.
The problem may be I set the new provinces to 75 autonomy to help unrest, so they do not contribute much to my forcelimit. If that's the case, I think the system needs a rebalance. Or at least bring back the moral nerf to rebels, since these suckers also have higher moral than my army, at 0 war exhaustion and 30 ish prestige.
So, semi rant aside, is there a trick to dealing with rebels once they revolt that I am missing? This is getting frustrating.
Quick addition, I only have this problem with russian rebels. Everywhere else seems to be easier.
