I did not test interception separately from air superiority. I have the saves, though, and can rerun the tests with difference parameters.
I assume you want to see if interception increases or decreases the chance to bag bombers versus engage enemy fighters both with and without the doctrine.

Yes, it would be interesting to see if there is any difference.

Fighters&bombers vs fighters results in a particular amount of losses
Fighters&bombers with doctrine vs fighters results in more intense combat, increasing losses on both sides.

fighters & bombers vs interceptors results in... ? number of losses.
fighters & bombers with doctrine vs interceptors results in... ?? number of losses in more intense combat.

If there's any differences, then... interesting
