I have two issues with war.

The first, which I can just about live with, is that an opposing army will immediately change direction to get away from me. My army is in the next county to them and they are moving to a county which is adjacent to both of us. I then tell my army to move to their target to catch them. Even without actually moving it, i.e. stopped, the other army will either stop its motion or move to another county, also adjacent to me. It almost seems that they instantly know what I have decided, when there should be a delay for the information to reach them. Catching an army that is on the move is almost impossible, and can take three or four attempts to manage to get into the fight.

The second relates to the annoyance of one or more of your neighbours declaring war your rebels, usually when you are 90% up. You get to being 100% up and you cannot end the war because it has lost counties or castles to the others. You then have to fight the other armies, win back the counties and and stop the rebels from growing, all at the same time. Preferably all of the wars should be ended once you reach 100%, but could be possible that they will retain the items they took or even acquire a county.

EDIT: I, as Emperor of Bohemia, lost one county to Pannonia - who is run by my wife who is allied to me, and we just have a son who will, hopefully, inherit by the empire and the kingdom.

Yo,

Both things are intended, I'll try to give some perspective on that :

Yep, it's an interesting point that makes sense, we've just decided to go with another set of rules, basically. Thing is, a system with delayed troops intel would imply a thoroughly different combat system with a much different tactical layer... and as I said, we just decided to use another set of rules, he he.

As for what you're saying about the enemy instantly knowing what you're doing and thus changing direction, although what you're saying makes sense, remember that you can do the exact same thing and get information on where an enemy army is moving, and even when it'll get there, when they pick a new order.

Wild Goose chase can be annoying at times, so what you have to do is to become a master of terrain, if that makes any sense. Try to divide your armies to cover more terrain and stall them with one stack while reinforcements are coming, try to bait them with the same idea in head etc...

We actually prefer not having the revolts end with the risk of losing territory that has been occupied by foreign realms which we feel to be very frustrating, especially in the cases where you actually have the resources to retake those lands from the opportunists. Remember that it's usually much harder to have claims on whatever you like in CK2 than it is in EU4, for example, and losing territory when you could have technically retained it can be very annoying.

I hope this helps you understand why we chose this way of doing things, cheers !
