The three battletech streams I got to watch yesterday were all pretty awesome. I'm kind of sad I didn't get to know about a couple of the other ones earlier (and thus missed them; like someone said previously, I usually don't have extra time to watch previously live content not-live)...
The Paradox stream with Mitch and Kiva was wonderful in that I got to see a lot about the game itself in a walk-through fashion of what you can do. Maybe I'm a little kid at heart because I loved the entire path routing on the starsystem maps. Or maybe like a handful of chat members, I just want to find Zathras and go there first, hahaha. Overall, it was great to see Mitch and Kiva showcase something they've been working so hard on. (P.S. Kiva you did great for being so nervous! I read your twitter sometimes.

)
Cohh's stream was a great "newbie playing BT" experience. I loved his voice overs too, haha. But maybe it's because this is the first time I've watched him, when I had something else to do, I actually just got up and did it. Made me feel kind of bad, but what I got to see from his stream was great. It was really fun seeing his take on the character creation.
HyperRPG's stream was the one I connected with the most because I regularly watch these dorks play games and stay hyper (Matt) or salty (Zac). After watching Zac salt his way through FC5 for a few nights, it was refreshing seeing Matt's hyperoptimism trying to play the game. Like Cohh, Matt is a BT newbie; he's only played the early access beta once or twice before. I am not at all surprised that he failed to do some of the things a seasoned veteran at these games would do (i.e. immediately hover over bolded, differently coloured words to see if there was information there). His reasoning for the character background, like Cohh, was amusing to watch.
I hear Matt did okay at the mission that Cohh failed at first (but then got to do over and succeeded!). I kind of want these two newbies to play with each other just to see which newbie succeeds. Bracket of the newbs?
It really does seem to me that HBS did a great job creating a game that newbies and veterans alike can enjoy!
