Hmm. At the end of the miner mission, when he was moving his spider to fire on the last vehicle, the spider turned to move then turned back around to face the tank... and the turning animations seemed to be missing. It just flipped facing in place.

Still live, so no time code on that.

I saw some issues with this sort of thing in Cohh's playthrough as well. It seems this has cropped in as a bug more recently as I don't recall seeing anything like that before today.

But, it's not the final version that's on display right now, so hopefully it gets cleaned up for launch.

I just tried to watch the HyperRPG stream.

I bailed out around the end of the tutorial because I was not enjoying the guy doing the streaming. The constant ("Hey! Hey!") interruptions to thank resubscribers and such just ruined the experience.

Sorry to hear you didn’t like the stream.

HyperRPG is a community first channel and without those subscribers it would not exist. So thanking those kind folks, interacting with the chat, just being all weird and fun is their trademark.

There are plenty of other serious gamer streams in the world, I’m glad Hyper does it their way. Kind of makes them unique.

Yeah and this game without it's backers wouldn't exist (or at least not in the state it is now), he gets a copy of the game. Then he starts charging people for WATCHING the game that they already payed for at 5 euro's a month... oh, he's unique alright. It's just that in my book that's not right

HyperRPG isn’t a he it’s a streaming channel. They never ever charge for their live content.

If you read back to the first message this thread was notifying people about their live stream. Not the VOD content which is a perk for those subscribers who help keep the channel alive and without whom they couldn’t do things like stream Battletech free for everyone.

Also HyperRPG was not involved in any way with the Battletech backer program or the development of the game. So I’m not sure why you are upset with them about that.

Who need HyperRPG anyway. I've never been that impressed with the production quality anyway and by next week, there'll be plenty of more experienced streamers posting Battletech stuff.

No one needs it, just not agreeing that a key is being handed to a company/streamer (/whatever) that charges the fanbase for viewing what they bought

HBS and HyperRPG are completely separate companies.

Just because Jordan is one of the cofounders does not mean they intertwine their businesses.

HyperRPG has no financial or development stake/responsibility/input on anything HBS does.

Sorry you don’t believe me. I can only state the truth.

HyperRPG did not charge for the live stream they announced here.

Since I’m repeating myself at this point and you are bringing this into the realm of just a flame war against HyperRPG, I’ll not respond again.

But HYPERRPG is charging for their video content, no one else does that. That is what this is about. IWhen I have to work or have a social engagement and miss streams... then they are THE ONLY ONE charging...

Are you new to Twitch itself? Almost every Twitch streamer that has subscriptions use the V.o.D's as an additional incentive to generate revenue.
It is not like this is the only content they have in their vods, its merely another game for which they happen to have an early release key.
The fact that it is Battletech is really irrelevant, the same was done with The Hunt and Far Cry 5 amongst others...

So relax :)

OK, I had to pay almost 6 bucks just to watch this 6 hours stream. I'm too excited about that game, so I decided to become a subscriber. Not a very good move to charge money to watch a content that will be available to everyone rather soon. But I can live with that.

Geek And Sundry.

But they don’t play BT so you’re probably okay.

As far as Hyper RPG goes, just as the BT game wouldn’t exist without backers, Hyper RPG wouldn’t exist without subscribers. Just as backers got a perk by getting access to the beta for paying a certain amount of money, subscribers get access to the VODs. That’s it. Not some deep dark conspiracy. If it’s not something you’re comfortable doing then that’s fine, enjoy the livestream and seek VODs on other channels.

Personally, I was happy to see the game being played and shown off.

Oh, and one more thing. This streamer is too emotional, shouts too much, have no clue in Battletech Universe, makes bad decisions when playing tactical turn-based game, and overall thinks too slow before doing something in game.
The only reason this stream is viable is because it is the first stream about Single Player Campaign.

I’m not sure why this is a problem. I enjoy seeing people get excited about the game they’re playing. And since he had never played the game before I wasn’t expecting perfection or even rapid gameplay. But hey to each his own.

I didn't said it is a problem. It is my impressions about someone playing the game. After all, I payed money to watch this.

Having seen the type of streams they do on their youtube channel, they couldn't pay me $6 to watch a few guys/gals stumbling around a game trying to imitate Pudiepie. No thanks, I'll keep watching Cohh.

It's unfortunate when the hype for BT is so high atm, they decide to keep the content (and not exactly high quality, expensive content at that) behind a pay wall. BT needs all the exposure it can get and as the only other streaming channel, they want to charge people $6?
