I've been playing stellaris on my computer on and off since release, and today I played my first machine empire game and a few decades in an enemy empire rivaled me. Suddenly, I can't see any hyperlanes and the AI empire who rivaled me disappeared from my map even though I still have diplomatic contact with him. The hyperlanes are still there as well, my ships still use them, but I can't see them.
Heres the really weird part, I loaded an old save and the hyperlanes were gone there too! None of my games have visible hyperlanes now, I even tried starting a new game.
I've tried rebooting my pc, and I reinstalled the game. I also checked the game file integrity using steam. I started a new game after reinstall, still no visible hyperlanes.
At this point, I have no idea what to do since all of my games are affected. I mostly enjoy playing with hyperlanes only, since the other game modes are not as interesting militarily.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
