Remember Hussites have to be strong enough against Hungary + Romanists + Austria (+ others...) and survive with only two provinces for 16 years.

Two games are not sufficient to make conclusions. We need 10, 20 or more games/tests (this is what I'm doing) and see average results. With such volume, Hussites are not a problem (even if some results are strange) but we may have one with Austria and Bohemia if Hussites war ends too soon. Some events are here to prevent too good relations between Austria and Bohemia but this won't be sufficient if Austria is not strong enough.

Maybe Hussite or Bohemian AI should be tweaked a little to make them attack Austria a little less if possible? I didn't have such results 10-20 games as I didn't intend to test anything specific in the first place, but I think reduction of Austria happening in 5 and complete destruction in 1 of my 6 games is enough to think that something is wrong. They almost always loose Salzburg to Hussites/Bohemia and their eastern O. province (forgot the name) to either Bohemia or Hungary. Most of the times the inheritances happen in time to save them from getting annexed in the next war.

As I said, it can happen, but this is not really tied to AI files.

As you said, inheritances save Austria. Austria is only a two provinces minor at start and we have safety events for Styria and Tyrol to become Austria if necessary.

In my latest game, Romanists managed to win in Bohemia and Austria survived. They got to inherit Tyrol and Styria, but then Bohemia diplo-annexed them. No original Austria, no Tyrol, no Styria, so Austria is gone forever. Habsburgs got to rule in Bohemia, of course, and they are Emperors, holding lands similar to what Austria would hold if they survived, but they are Bohemia. I think there should really be an event that turns Bohemia into Austria if Habsburgs get the Crown of Bohemia but there is no Austria. You know, like Austria is gone but the Habsburgs are still there so when they inherit Bohemia which holds their lands they change it back into Austria.

I had the same problems, its to do with strength of nation. I stopped this by givng the ostmarch province to austria , and making it german culture. All after the defeat of the Hussites.

this is basically ( in economic strength terms) a 2 province swing away from BOH and a 2 province gain for Austria

game bug

Since hussites use an AI file with ferocity = yes, then this ferocity leads to problems If the hussites win the WAR, because they will never surrender to anyone.

I suggest another hussite AI file with ferocity = NO after 1440

Ostmarch could be a solution (please post yours in Bohemia thread) but we can have a safety event too. See here.

But they are still heretics and should be crushed before they form Bohemia again (with more "respectability") and ferocity will then be removed.

I agree they should be crushed, but as it is now , its a very slow process due to the fact that more than 1 nation is involved. so what happens is when all the hussites provinces are taken, the hussites agree with leader of opponents and usually only concede 1 province, then we have to wait for another war

YodaMaster said:
Will "ferocity = no" really change this issue? I'm not sure.

gauranteed it would, because with ferocity = yes, the nation will fight until all its provinces are taken and all its armies are gone/wiped out

if you do not want to make a separate file, then we should use the event that has the hussite win/victory and insert a command to change ai file to the "peaceful" one

this way when hussites are attacked and the warscore is high against it , it will sue for peace

This change already exists in devoted AGCEEP_AI_Events.eue when Hussites form Bohemia again:
Code:
event = {
	id = 600301
	trigger = {
		ai = yes
		event = 600300
		NOT = { exists = SIL }
	}
	random = no

	deathdate = { year = 1820 }

	action_a = {
		name = "Large AI"
		command = { type = ai which = "Large.ai" }
	}
}
600300 is the change to specific ROM antiHussites AI file.

Once again, do we really need a specific AI file for Hussites (SIL) only if Romanists are no more and before Hussites form Bohemia?

Shouldn´t be the condition in the trigger that they own and control the province of Bohemia?

Yes, you're right. Because of the ahistorical case where capital is moved to Ostmarch, Bohemia province could even have been lost. In this case capital should move back to Prague too.

600300 is the change to specific ROM antiHussites AI file.

Once again, do we really need a specific AI file for Hussites (SIL) only if Romanists are no more and before Hussites form Bohemia?

All I see is that when the hussites win (and a win is a wiping out of ROM ) , then they remain as hussites with same flag, this could be any years from 1421 onwards. So bascially the ai file for the hussites never change.

you need something like this

event = {
id = 60030?
trigger = {
ai = yes
event = ???
NOT = { exists = ROM }
}
random = no
country = SIL
name = "AI_EVENT"
desc = "change to large AI"

date = { day = 25 month = january year = 1422 }
offset = 30
deathdate = { year = 1820 }

action_a = {
name = "Large AI"
command = { type = ai which = "Large.ai" }
}
}

with the hussites victory event being part of the trigger

I don't understand the need of Hussites Victory (one of the three forementioned events, right? There is no specific single "Hussites Victory" event) in the trigger since Hussites will become Bohemia and Large.ai will apply.

But I admit there is a problem for Hussites before 1457 and after 1480. Proposal:
Code:
event = {
	id = 600302
	trigger = {
		ai = yes
		event = 600300
		NOT = { exists = ROM }
	}
	random = no
	country = SIL
	name = "AI_EVENT"
	desc = "change to large AI"

	date = { day = 25 month = january year = 1422 }
	offset = 30
	deathdate = { year = 1820 }

	action_a = {
		name = "Large AI"
		command = { type = ai which = "Large.ai" }
	}
}
