Well, here's another Update.
As I have posted in my last update, The Union declared war on the CSA once again. The CSA has mobilised and strengthened its borders before the war. As it seems now, all armies the Union has are understrength, Military Intelligence guess that it's due to a sharply decreased defense budget.
The following events are a report on the war of Reunion.
In the early days of the war, there was a revolt of CSA Loyalists in the Union province of Green Bay. As they inittially defeated the stationed garrison there, they were completely cut off from confederate supply lines, and with the Southern reserve divisions still in training, the CSA could not get reinforcements there in time.
On February 25th 1873 the mobilisation was finally completed. 10 brand new Divisions were deployed in Washington and formed in the Army of Southern Defenders under command of Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, to aid the besieged army in Salisbury, and after that invade the Union from the northeast.
On the western coast, another 10 divisions were deployed in Eureka, to form the Army of Confederate Immortals under command of General Longstreet, and bring the war to the western part of the United States, wich would begin in the battle for Empire City.
After Longstreet won the Battle of Empire City, against an incredible crippled opponent, he marched for Harley, whilst in the mean time the 8th Defenders was order to Empire city to secure and defend it against any Union insurgents.
In the East, Jackson liberated Wilmington, but was ordered to retreat to Salisbury, after having taken Atlantic City, to once again, help the defenders there. At least we now know the Union deployed their mobilised forces in the Eastern Theatre, giving Longstreet the western parts of the Union for the taking with almost no effort. However, the eastern theatre may turn grim in a few weeks, because Intelligence reported an army of 90,000 man strong are heading for the frontlines from Buffalo. Odds are still with us, after these to battles we still have 10.000 more men and they will have a little more experience than those 90.000. Hopefully that will be enough to destroy their new army, and conquer the East as well.
For those who wonder, the army in Green Bay is still alive, only almost crushed by the Union army. Since those 241 men are not able to get out there without a fight, and endangering the entire campaign if reinforcements needed to be sent there, the Confederate Government has no hope of rescuing them, should they however, miraciously win and take the province, they will be considered National Heroes.
Longstreet captured Harney, 9th defenders secures Harney, Army of Confederate Immortals marches for Baker City.
The Union opened a gap in the Eastern Theatre. The 3rd Defenders is ordered to Atlantic City, whilst their 19th Defenders is exploiting the gap in the Union's defense by invading Newark. Jackson tries to take the tension away from Newark by invading Philadelphia.
This one is pretty easy. 8th Defenders takes Portland, Longstreets heads for Boise to secure another border province, 2nd Defenders relieves 9th Defenders who will secure Baker City. After this is all done 8th defenders will head for Seattle and Spokane, securing another state for the South. I guess, you all get my strategy from this point.
Unfortunately our sympathisers in the North have been destroyed. May their souls find peace in the afterlife.
A minor setback in the Eastern theatre, the armies send to New York have been Annihilated, forcing Jackson to go there to save the day. Forrest is attacking Insurgents, and another army will try to take cincinatti to make defending the borders a little bit easier.
Also, the War in the west is going well.
Well, after both Longstreet and Jackson captured a few provinces the Union Army fell in disarray and there was, outside of new England not really much to defend against, so the remaining Defenders were sent in an all out charge to take the remaining provinces, whilst Jackson and another Army kept themselves busy in New England.
Okay.... I have no Idea what the fuck just happened, but I got the end of the Civil War screen again (already ahd that in the first war, but forgot to take a screen of it, I demanded all the border states and let's see what happens...
Luckily, they Refused so the war is still on, and I can Continue kicking Yankee Ass...
And what an asskicking it turned out to be!
Since I obviously won, and am too lazy to try and capture Alaska, I am waiting for the peace offer from the Yanks. They were wrong to doubt the Rebel fighting spirit.
The War is over. Confederate diplomats had concluded a deal with the United States government, that almost all of their western provinces should be seceeded to the Confederate States of America. Reluctantly the Union leadership agreed, resulting in a confederate victory.
I chose to offer this deal, because it offered me more land, without having to build a lot more fortifications. The offer the USA made me was forcing me to move my fortifications up at least one province over the entire line, draining much money and resources. So instead of improving fortifications in 14 provinces, I now only have to build them in 7 provinces, saving more than 10k in money. Although these provinces are not as developed as the Union provinces in the east, I was able to snatch about a quarter to a 3rd of their remaining landmass, also cutting their mainland link to the pacific, allowing me to build a fleet there so I can invade Alaska in the event of a new war. Alaska doesn't worry me that much, because only recently granted statehood and having almost no garrison whatsoever.
All I will do again now, is rebuild, reinforce my armies, and see what the rest of the world is up to. Since Mexico has been mobilising it's army during the war, I fear that they want to declare war pretty soon as well. but hey, since I am expanding Northwards, I won't mind expanding southwards. We are Southerners after all.
